Dragonflies

I miss you, though I’m not yet gone.

I’d kiss you, but you’re not around.

Your sweet embrace awoke in me

Feelings I thought were gone.

It seems our time alone,

Which now feels long ago,

Was sultry.

The way you felt on my skin,

That sinfully sensual touch,

Left me crazy, wanting more.

And now as I lay here,

Remembering how it was

I’m fearing that we

Such wild dragonflies,

Will quickly cease to live,

If we not prudent be.
